Marike Verlie

Lawyer at the Dutch-speaking Bar of Brussels

Mrs. Marike VERLIE was admitted to the Dutch-speaking Brussels Bar in November 2023. She obtained her master of law degree with distinction from Ghent University, with a preference for criminal law.

After her studies, Marike left for France for nine months in language immersion and obtained her DELF B2 diploma. As a result, today she can easily navigate the bilingual environment that characterizes the Brussels Bar. 

She has a penchant for everything related to criminal law, both national and international, and wrote her master's thesis on online sexual transgressive behavior and the additional challenges it brings. She is also open to delving further into other interesting areas of law.

Marike is able to handle cases in Dutch (native language), French (advanced level) and English (advanced level).
